NotionManager Adds Visual Version Comparison and Free Repository Import
NotionManager, the local-first backup and versioning tool for Notion, today announced two updates: visual comparison across backup snapshots, and free-tier access to repository import and viewing.
The release addresses two gaps that users have repeatedly run into: seeing what actually changed between backups, and letting someone without a NotionManager license review a backup.
Visual comparison across snapshots
Notion's built-in page history shows you what a page looked like at a point in time, but it doesn't make it easy to see what changed between versions — especially across a series of backups. NotionManager now lets you visually compare multiple backup snapshots side by side, so differences between versions are visible at a glance.
This is aimed at users who keep a rolling series of backups and need to answer questions like "what changed between last week and this week" without opening each snapshot one by one.

Repository import and viewing now free
Previously, importing and viewing a repository required a Team or Enterprise license. That changes with this release: importing a repository and browsing its contents is now available on the free tier.
The motivation is a concrete scenario. A user creates a backup snapshot and needs someone else to review it — an auditor, a client, a colleague. That reviewer may not have a NotionManager license, and shouldn't need one just to look at a backup. With this change, the person who created the backup can export the repository, send it over, and the recipient can install NotionManager, import it, and view the contents without a paid license.
Exporting a repository still requires a Team or Enterprise license; it's the receiving end that is now free.
Note
If the reviewer and the backup owner are on the same network, or the server can be reached over the internet, remote browsing is often the simpler and easier-to-configure option. Repository export and import are most useful when the recipient can't reach your machine at all.
Availability
Both features are available since the release v1.0.1028. Existing users can update through the usual channel. New users can download NotionManager from notionmanager.com.
